WORD AND MUSIC SERVICE AT CHURCH NEUMÜNSTER

In an article about João Gilberto's passing three years ago, Swiss journalist Arnaud Robert wrote:

"Since bossa nova suits to lazy afternoons, pool cocktails and hotel elevators, some thought it was insignificant. A southern version of background music. It is actually a storm hidden in a whisper."

Although our music sounds accessible and festive, it's neither superficial nor easy to perform. The melodies, harmonies and rhythms are pretty complex, but most of all, the lyrics – often from poet Vinícius de Moraes – are very profound. This deeper meaning will add an extra dimension to the meditative texts read by Minister Stefanie Porš for this church service before Ascension.

The Blue Crew will perform with our new double bass player Felix Kübler, and featuring our friend Steve Zwygart on the piano. Come many and share with us this beautiful moment!
